How to download latest offline or standalone version of chrome browser

One of the major hindrance in adoption of google chrome is that it requires an active internet connection for downloading chrome especially at places where decent net speed is not available or a firm within the firewalls of a network which do not allow automatic updates or where a batch installation can be done to save bandwidth.
But it is known to few that google provides a standalone version of chrome  (which is the latest stable version) that can be downloaded from here:

Today I came across google transliteration ime which allows user to type in hindi using standard english keyboard. Unlike google transliteration it is a offline application and it runs in background to allow users to use this input method in notepad,MS office or any other word processing application.
After installing it from here you can toggle betwen input methods from language bar (which canbe activated on right clicking task bar>toolbars>language bar)and fluently write in hindi in most of appliations. So cheers messaging in hinglish wont go in vain. You can even search the highlighted word by clicking google button in top-right corner.

You can even use it on web as shown here...
Highlights of the application are:
> Offline support
Dictionary based word completions
Single click web search for highlighted word
> Onscreen keyboard
> Manage macros
