Layout of my alma mater....A.N College,Patna

Anugrah Narayan College is situated in the heart of Patna.
It is one of the premier institutes of the city.It has been my alma meter for quite some time.
I have done my intermediate and currently doing my graduation from here.
I couldn't help feeling obliged to my college so
I decided to elaborate the features of my college in google maps.
Earlier the map showed only the boundary of the premises but now
when I mapped it in detail using google mapmaker
it shows all the departments, ground, parking, garden as well as internal roads of the campus.

99 out of 100

In our country there is a very popular quote "sau me ninyanbe baiman
fir bhi mera bharat mahan".It somewhat depicts the mindset of most of
the indians.Though most of the people are themselves infested by
corruption they point their finger towards third person easily .
We all dream of corruption free India but when we have to get our job done
we dont hesitate in giving that 'extra'.
That's exactly what happening currently in the "lokpal" issue.
As I have mentioned in my previous post thanks to internet and electronic media,
masses have turned out in huge support of Anna hazare idolising him as the avatar
of Gandhi.
Many among the crowd don't know whether their protest is against corruption or the bite of Inflation.
How can current inflation could arise out of corruption,
its more due to increased purchasing power of middle class and stagnant supply
(ironically they are the one who cry).
Before nabbing the collar of government or ministers we
should peek in our own collar first. We should be faithful to ourselves not to others.
I fear that the current rage may lose its direction yielding no
fruitful result.
Education can play a radical role in renaissance of society.
Corruption can't be eradicated overnight, People need to change their mindsets
and it will take more than a generation of educated youth for that.

Making a strict lokpal doesn't guarantee that we will get rid of
corruption.China has a very strict system to tackle
corruption.Hundreds of people who are caught doing corrupt practices
get hanged every year in China.Yet the instances of corruption has not
diminished. We should always remember that 'prevention is better than cure'.

We are in quite better times now dont make it 1947 again.

Incognito mode (Chrome) vs Private browsing (firefox). Which is better ?

Most of the current browsers provide an option for privacy mode
in which no traces of activity are stored on local computer.
Browser simply discards any history entries, cache or cookies.
It can be a useful tool to access your accounts from a shared computer like cyber cafe or office.
If you make it a habit you don't have to fear the risks of
forgetting to sign out of your A/c on a public computer.
On the reverse it can also be used to sign in multiple accounts of same website
allowing more than one person to access their A/c in private windows.
Imagine you and your friend using same browser to access your respective facebook A/c simultaneously.
I use either firefox or chrome (mostly) so I can't tell about other browsers.
Though both browsers provide quite identical approach to private browsing
there are some differences also which makes chrome a better candidate.

The major drawback of private browsing in firefox is that you can't open it along a regular window.
You can only use one mode at a time but chrome allows you to open window in both modes simultaneously.
That means if you want to open any link in a new private window you can easily do so.
(right click>Open link in new incognito window).
The other critical difference is that by default firefox doesn't disable the extensions
installed on browser raising a question on the feature itself.
What is the use of private browsing if your extensions can leak your info to others ?
In chrome extensions are disabled by default but you can enable them selectively
(from Options>tools>extensions)

Will Indian Democracy withstand the test of time ?

Looking at the current prevailing political turmoil in our country and around the world it has become very difficult to predict the outcome of the conflict between Government and civil society.Only time will tell which way is right way.I am not sure if this surge will get us rid of Corruption but i am sure this will make our nation unstable and prone to collapse of Government.
In the current scenario role of media has been an important one.It idolized one person without giving considerable footage to other side thus creating a huge imbalance of crowd support.Remember Julius Caesar ?about mob mentality? Mob is like a flock of sheeps which gets instigated quickly with flowery words showing copied behaviour having no direction.....It belongs to none forever
Both Government and Anna have their own viewpoints (difference of opinion is an important part of democracy) but the culprit is electronic media which is showcasing the views of only one side.It will bring nothing but instability & demise to our nation.People should remain calm.

How to access keyboard shortcuts available in google products

With the launch of its new social network google has initiated a tide of changes to its already existing products.Google is basically unifying all its products under the canopy of google plus by providing a streamlined and uniform interface for all its web apps.Keeping this trend google has introduced a feature to view keyboard shortcuts available for its products. If you press Question mark (SHIFT + /) in any of the products you will get a list of shortcuts available for that product.Currently it is available in Google docs, reader and gmail and hopefully extended to other products as well
